OREGON'S COAST, CASCADES & CRAFT BEERS

Tour: NB  PORTLAND  PORTLAND
Get a taste for the bracing Oregon coastline and the Cascade Mountains, while also enjoying regional craft beers on your escorted tour of the Pacific Northwest. Arrive in Portland for sightseeing in its eclectic neighborhoods, including Washington Park—home of the International Rose Test Gardens. Enjoy lots to see with a free afternoon—from Voodoo Doughnuts to Powell’s Books, the largest independently owned book store in the world. Travel east taking in vistas of 11,239-foot Mount Hood, to visit Multnomah Falls. Marvel at this icy cascade of a waterfall that begins over 600 feet above. Visit a local orchard on Hood River to sample regional produce, then to Timberline Lodge—famous film location of The Shining. Spend two nights in Bend, and sample local beer in any of its 27 breweries. Embrace the true spirit of the west in the High Desert Museum, and enjoy lunch and a tasting at Deschutes Brewery & Public House.

A day at Crater Lake National Park. Explore the remarkable setting of this deep-blue lake created by volcanic eruption nearly 7,000 years ago. You’ll also visit the Oregon town of Roseburg, known for local wine and beer; the coastal town of Florence for dune buggy rides on the beach; and the Oregon Coast Aquarium for dinner and behind-the-scenes tour. Take a tour of the Tillamook Cheese factory, and explore Cape Meares State Park. Take in the amazing Pacific Ocean views from its historic lighthouse. In Astoria, at the mouth of the Columbia River, you’ll enjoy a farewell dinner served with Oregon’s best wines and beers.
